Ignite Yoga’s teacher training program stands out among the rest because of the opportunity to broaden your understanding of who you are. When we ask our teacher training graduates to explain what they loved most about the program, they state “I learned so much about myself.”

Rather than apply a school-like study approach to learning, you’ll be coached and guided to experience the teachings of yoga so that they become ingrained in who you are. Many of our students have a profound awakening within the program and they go on to experience their lives in a new and powerful way.

Space is limited.

What's being said

Meet our facilitators

Justina Sanford•Lead Trainer, 500 E-RYT

Justina began practicing and studying yoga with what felt like every style available. She found a love for Power yoga and the way it challenged students differently than other styles she had practiced. "It woke me up. Before, I was just floating around, but Power yoga shook something into me." Justina has since been studying personal development and thought leadership and bringing it to the yoga practice.

Justina has been teaching yoga for over twelve years, is a 500+ E-RYT, and has been leading and assisting yoga teacher trainings since 2012. She's a certified Baptiste Yoga instructor and has assisted in hosting weekend and week-long programs with the institute. Justina has further studied with instructors such as Noah Maze, Rocky Heron, Sadie Nardini, Seane Corn, and Matt Giordano, receiving an additional 300-hour training w The Yogi Matt. Furthermore, she's attended immersive business and leadership programs w Tony Robbins and Baron Baptiste and has done extensive self-study on the topics of emotion, communication, business, and human psychology. She also holds bachelors degrees in both Music Therapy and Psychology.

When she's not sharing yoga, you’ll find Justina outside on the hiking trails, spending time with her three pups and hubs, traveling, or learning something new—like the newest endeavor of making various nice cream flavors.

Katie Mitchell•Facilitator, 200 E-RYT

Katie began practicing yoga at her local YMCA in 2009 and slowly built a steady home practice over the following years. Her desire for community led her to find Ignite Yoga, where she dove into teacher training. She describes her classes and teaching style as laid back and cheerful. "As a mother of three boys, you learn to keep your head cool and your heart open."

Katie has been teaching yoga for over seven years and is a 200 hour E-RYT. She's also certified through Yoga Alliance as a Continuing Education Provider. She has a natural instinct to work with beginner yoga students and has since created numerous programs for Ignite Yoga to support this clientele (as it's her most fulfilling calling) Katie cares deeply about teaching with respect to the roots of yoga and has done extensive self-study on the topics of cultural appropriation, yoga ethics, and regularly learns from the teachings of Susanna Barkataki. Katie has furthered her yoga study by attending workshops around the country with Baron Baptiste, Matt Giordano, and Rocky Heron.

Some of Katie's favorite things to do outside of the studio include playing in the sunshine, creating meaningful jewelry, loving up her fam, and generally trying to enjoy all that life has to offer. Her latest endeavor is the self-study of natural remedies through foraging and herbalism.
