What does it mean to be an Ignite teacher?
It means to stand in possibility, responsibility, and humility. Possibility so that you minimize or eliminate the limitations of your own mind and shine outward. Responsibility to own your personal actions and thoughts. Humility to stay committed to our mission of personal and human connection. Oh, and to be authentic practitioners of yoga.
Why do you love to teach yoga?
There is not a day that passes that I don’t enjoy teaching yoga. The thing that continues to inspire me are the moments of shift that individuals experience on their mat, both physical and mental, but especially mental. It’s these shifts that over time create a compound effect and change the person from the inside out into someone they love being. It’s a beautiful transformation to witness.
Where else are you lighting it up these days?
In my biz skillz… it’s tough to be a solid teacher and business owner. So everyday I find myself in the discomfort of the business world—diving in full-heartedly with the commitment to totally rock it so that we can continue to call Ignite home.
What is your greatest adventure?
Over the past few years we’ve been visiting the National Parks and they are AMAZING. Travel is always my greatest adventure.
If you could choose a second home location, where would it be?
Mountains, Colorado or Utah would do just fine, along with a wooded mountain view, my hubs, my pups, and a good cup of a coffee. Please.
What’s one thing you know to be true?
What I know is true is that every day is a gift. There is no time to worry about petty things, to be dramatic about emotions, or to hold resentments. There is only time to do the most adventurous things you can, walk to the beat of your drum, hold your priorities close to your heart, and to get to the end of life feeling complete and whole.
