niche: Class is always prepared days in advance with plenty of room for improvisation. Class is always prepared at an advanced level but I’m able to see and feel the needs of all skill levels.
What does it mean to be an Ignite teacher?
Being an ignite teacher is a wonderful blessing for me at this time. Justina and I have been associates for several years and I’ve admired her as a business woman and teacher from a far. I am proud and excited to be a part of what is already a successful organization.
Why do you love to teach yoga? or what do you love about teaching yoga?
I love to teach yoga because it gives me an opportunity to help others shine. I love being a small part of the physical growth of human beings.
What’s your greatest adventure?
My greatest adventure without question is my ongoing marriage with my wife Krystle and raising our three sons, Christian, Caleb and the baby Jude.
If you could choose a second home location, where would it be?
I traveled to Belize for teaching training back in 2008 and instantly fell in love with the climate, jungle and ocean. I can see myself having a second home there one day.
Where do you feel most at home? I feel most at home when I’m training, whether it’s ashtanga, vinyasa, jump roping, boxing, swimming or cycling. Anytime I’m challenging myself physically my mind shuts off and I begin to feel a great sense of peace and control.
What’s one thing you know to be true?
There is no mistake why you are where you are in life and how you got there. Play the tape backwards—all roads or answers lead back to you! We are a culmination of our choices and habits—if you want to change, change your habits not your mind.
